Diana has a Master’s Degree in Archaeology with specialties in historic documentation and photography. She has 40 years experience in genealogy and digital photo restoration. Her own collection contains nearly 5,000 photos, documents and objects from her family.

Collection Scanning

Send your originals for professional high resolution scanning and preservation. I will carefully scan both sides of your photographs, postcards, letters, drawings, newspaper clippings and documents.

Original photos will be returned in archival storage sleeves or other appropriate storage, and files returned on a CD and online for download and reprints.

Scanning includes basic image cleaning (crop, straighten, basic global enhancement/brightening, embedded captioning) and archival sleeve.

Most photos don’t need additional repair.

Free local pickup (New Orleans / South Mississippi area) for projects over $250. Onsite scanning also available.

Digital Restoration and Repair

Custom digital repair of spots, dust, tears, scratches, watermarks, remove writing, recreate areas torn away, color correction, contrast enhancement and rediscover details using nondestructive methods in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Captions and keywords will be embedded into the file so that the identification will never be lost.

I can work with files you have scanned or original photos you send me to scan. Note that the quality of the final restoration is directly related to the quality of the original scan (as well as the condition of the photo, of course).

Free File online storage

All photos will be available online for you and your family to download, share and print from your own private password protected album area.

RePrints

Order prints of the restored photos to distribute to relatives, including my exclusive Cabinet Card reproduction of vintage cardboard photos. Custom framing and albums also available.

Digital colorizing brings old black and white photos back to life.
